12 Volt Fluorescent Lights
Before you buy a fluorescent light...
Fluorescent lights are excellent choices for interior applications where even lighting with low current draw is desirable. These lights use standard,
commonly available fluorescent bulbs which are included. However, when temperatures are cold fluorescent light ballasts have a
difficult time starting the bulbs. If you need to use this lighting when ambient temperatures are below 50 degrees farenheit, you
will probably be happier using either incandescent or LED lighting. Also, when wiring fluorescent lights, We recommend putting
no more than two light fixtures on each switched circuit. Why?

You Might Consider Upgrading to LED
Recent improvements in white LED technology have made LED lighting an interesting alternative to fluorescents. Unlike
fluorescent lighting, LED lights are not affected by low temperatures. They have no bulbs or ballasts to malfunction
and unlike traditional fluorescent bulbs they do not contain mercury. The lower amp draw, extremely long life
expectancy, and low heat generation makes this an alternative worth considering.

You might also consider converting your existing fluorescent light to LED. This allows you to retain the original styling

Indirect Fluorescent Lights
Aluminum frame lights are sold without lens covers. Intended for indirect lighting. Bulb(s) included. These lights are not UL/CSA listed.
